Ordinary Diploma in Computer Science — Arusha Technical College
I am a diploma student at Arusha Technical College (ATC), one of Tanzania's leading technical institutions. My studies focus on computer science fundamentals including web development, database systems, programming and networking.
This project — the ATC Hostel Management System — was developed as my individual coursework to demonstrate proficiency in HTML, CSS and web design by building a real-world system that solves an actual problem faced by ATC students.

Technologies and tools I have studied and applied in this project:
What I enjoy beyond the classroom:
The Arusha Technical College Hostel Management System (ATCHMS) was designed to replace manual, paper-based hostel registration at ATC with an efficient digital workflow. It connects students, wardens and the dean of students through a unified interface accessible from any device.
By centralising applications, room data and notifications, ATCHMS reduces administrative bottlenecks and ensures every student receives transparent, fair treatment when allocating accommodation.
To provide a transparent, secure and efficient digital platform that simplifies hostel registration, allocation and management for every ATC student.
To become the benchmark hostel management system across Tanzania's technical institutions, championing fairness, accessibility and student wellbeing.
Integrity, transparency, innovation and student-centred service form the foundation of every interaction within the ATCHMS platform.
ATCHMS coordinates the full lifecycle of student accommodation — from the day a student submits an application to the day they check out at the end of their studies.
Living on-campus comes with great advantages. ATCHMS makes them easy to access.
ATCHMS recognises that great accommodation enables great learning. Students gain access to wellbeing initiatives, peer mentorship and clubs run from our hostel common rooms.
Quiet study lounges and mentor-led group sessions every weekday evening.
Inter-hostel football, basketball and athletics tournaments throughout the year.
Dedicated welfare officers ensure every resident is heard and supported.
